Red Hots were created by the Ferrara Pan Candy Company in the early 1930’s. The generic cinnamon hard candy was known as “cinnamon imperials” before the Red Hots were invented. The Red Hots are a hard-cinnamon candy that imitates a spicy feeling in your mouth.
